How to Create a Procedural Ripple Pattern in Blender Cycles | Grady Pruitt

In my last tutorial, I shared how to create a variety of stripe patterns in Blender Cycles.  At the end, I asked if anyone knew how to take what I had shared to create a ripple, or zig zag,  pattern.  Although no one responded, I did figure out how to do it.  This tutorial reveals what I discovered on how to create a  ripple pattern in Blender Cycles.

(Before recording this, I got a new mic and was able to record this the way I wanted to record the other one, so it doesn’t have the audio mismatch between the intro and the vocals that the previous video has.  I may go back and rerecord that one to fix the audio in it as well.)

(I’ll update this with a text version later this week for those who would rather read it than watch a video.)
