Medieval Armor Outfit for Self Portrait Character — WIP | Grady Pruitt

Medieval Armor Outfit for Self Portrait Character — WIP

by | Mar 10, 2017 |

I had a lot of fun creating my self portrait character, but as I got to thinking about it, a “medieval armor” outfit would be more in line with the “fantasy” art that I one day want to be known for.  So I started creating a chain mail armor outfit. This also gave me an opportunity to try rigging again, this time adding in controls for facial movements.  I have three rigging systems I want to try. The first is a variation on the one I used previously, the Rigify rig.  It’s the PitchPoy variation that has facial rig options added to the main rig.  After hearing that they used BlenRig on some of the more recent Open Movie projects, I wanted to give it a try.  And finally, I think I remember one called FlexiRig from CG Cookie.  Hopefully, between these 3, I can find one that I can use in future projects of my own.
